The United States Coast Guard has a strong presence in Southeast Florida with several units distributed throughout the Miami area.

In Ft. Lauderdale, there is the Station, ANT and GANNET.

In the Opa-Locka area, there is Air Station Miami, TACLET South and D7 TACLET.

In the downtown Miami area, there is the Seventh Coast Guard District, ESU Miami, and 2 branches of ISC Miami.

In the South Beach area, there is Causeway Island which contains ISC Miami, Station Miami Beach, NESU/MAT Miami, BARANOF, CHANDELEUR, DOLPHIN, FARALLON, GENTIAN, HUDSON, SITKINAK, and VALIANT.

In the Richmond Heights area, there are COMMSTA Miami, CGIS Miami, CEU Miami, and 2 branches of ISC Miami.
